Betty Jean Lifton (Writer/Psychologist) refers to the ghosts that accompany the adopted family as a result of unresolved grief, loss and trauma. They represent the lost babies, the parents who lost them, and the parents who found them. Sometimes too dangerous to be allowed into consciousness, they are consigned to the place called The ghost kingdom, a space of wonder, uncertainty and here it is made-up of protective foam wapping, tape, salt, defuse colours and light.
